Stone Creek
Stone Creek Zen Center is a practice center in the Soto Zen tradition located in Graton, near Sebastopol in Sonoma County. The core activity at the center is meditation, being present in the fullness of reality.
Stone Creek offers regular programming for children and for parents. A Winter Solstice Event for families is also offered annually. Chelsea is happy to be helping with these offerings.
Parenting as Practice: A Mindful Parent’s Circle: This series for parents aims to create a space for parents to pause together in the midst of our busy family lives; to begin or deepen a meditation practice; and to explore how of Zen and mindfulness practices can support our inner wisdom in parenting to come through in our daily lives. Each meeting is facilitated by Dojin Sarah Emmerson and Chelsea True.
Dates and times TBA. Advance registration is requested.
The Children’s Program: This program offers both mindfulness and Zen practices aimed at helping children foster empathy, self-regulation, and joy. The program meets on the third Sunday of the month through the school season, September – May.
