Sebastopol Sangha in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. This ongoing group for adults meets the first and the third Mondays of the month and is grounded in the work of celebrated Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. We share sitting and walking meditation, a reading, discussion, and tea. 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Please inquire for the location.
Parenting as Practice: A Mindful Parent’s Circle: This program for parents is offered in partnership with Stone Creek Zen Center and aims to create a space for parents to pause together in the midst of our busy family lives; to begin or deepen a meditation practice; and to explore how of both Zen and secular mindfulness practices can support our inner wisdom in parenting to come through in our daily lives. Mindful Educators Alliance. These mini-retreats for educators, counselors, parents, and anyone working with children are a project of Mindful Schools and aim to support the growth of mindfulness education in our region. Our last program met Saturday, October 28 with a special guest speaker, Daniel Rechtschaffen, founder of the Mindful Education Institute and the Omega Mindfulness in Education Conference, and author of The Way of Mindful Education: Cultivating Well-being in Teachers and Students.
